Prepared meals for senior citizens on the island!

I am a young professional who loves cooking and is looking to put my talent to good use! While I have a full-time job, I am looking to cook for a few senior citizens on the island several times a week. I'd love to help out folks who would like to enjoy nutritious and delicious meals prepared in their own home, without the fuss of cooking and cleaning up (I would handle all of that).

My rate would be $15/hour (plus the cost of any necessary groceries), and I'm happy to provide several references. If interested, please e-mail me at christopher.a.maggio@gmail.com and I'd love to discuss in person!

Thanks,

Chris

Huge & Cheap 3 Bedroom Apartment with Garden

In Manhattan Park, an over-sized Convertible 3 bedroom/2 bath with an extra large "L-Shape" kitchen and massive private garden for $3,235 a month for sublet or lease assumption. This apartment is larger than a conventional convertible 3 and tons of closets including a large pantry closet and a walk-in. Our lease runs until November of 2013, so you'd be locking into that price for a year.

Master bedroom in 405 Main St - couples welcome

$2300 Master Bedroom in Luxury Doorman Building (couples welcome)

We are two working professionals in our mid 20's looking for a roommate for our 2-flex-3 luxury apartment on Roosevelt Island (one subway stop away from Manhattan). We've both been here for at least one year and now our other roommate is moving out of the large master bedroom (full bath attached). We really love this apartment and would love to stay for another year, so we are looking for one or two people to move into the master bedroom starting on October 1st. We would love to find someone to sign in the lease BY AUGUST 15TH, because we get a better deal if we renew by then.

Let me tell you why we love the apartment so much.

First off, the building has AMAZING amenities.
• Washer and dryer IN UNIT (this is a true luxury for someone living in Manhattan, and it saved us SO MUCH time and money!)
• Luxury door man building only a few years old.
• Modern gym in the building (which we have access to).
• Rooftop deck with a grill & chaise lounges -- we've thrown awesome barbeques here. The roof is REALLY awesome.
• Community party room with pool tables and entertainment center.
• Amazing view from the apartment, overlooking east river, the Queensborough bridge, and Manhattan. You can watch sun rise and sun set from the same apartment!

Our building is also extremely convenient when it comes to public transportation. The F train station is within 2-minute walk from our building and it takes only 8 minutes on the train to get to midtown Manhattan, about 15-20 minutes to downtown Manhattan.
Also, the Roosevelt Island Tram is right next to our building. It will take the Tram about 6 minutes to get from the island to the Upper East Side (2nd and 60th). Very fast and convenient, and also fun. I had never been to Roosevelt Island before I moved here--and I LOVE it. It's so peaceful and pretty and still extremely convenient to the UES/Manhattan.

The available room is a huge master bedroom. It is 15' 6" by 11" 0'. There are two closets, one of which is a large walk-in, in the room. There is also a modern bathroom in the room with two sinks and a marble counter. The bedroom has a beautiful view of the Queensboro bridge and the Queens skyline from the windows. For a couple, the room easily fits two work desks, a Queen sized bed, two dressers, and other furniture without feeling crowded.  We also have a large living room where we hang out a lot, and a modern kitchen.

You will be living with two easygoing, responsible and considerate female working professionals in our mid twenties. We are laid back, friendly and fun-loving, and are looking for someone with similar qualities. We are open to an individual or a couple.

The rent is $2300/month (or $1150 each for a couple), and we split the utilities (electricity, FiOS internet, TV & home phone) each month, which comes to about $40-$50 a month per person. If you're interested or have any questions about the room, let us know. Here is a link to the CL post with pictures: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/roo/3187345362.html

My parents are visiting and our studio is too small!!

My parents are visiting and our studio is too small!!
We are a young couple living in the Island and we´ll have a baby in September. My parents are coming to meet the newborn and we would love it if they could enjoy the Island´s quiteness instead of an impersonal (and expensive) hotel in the city.
They will be here from September 26th. to October 10th. so if you are leaving your apartment for business or vacation, it´s a good way to earn some money and have your place looked after at the same time.
If you are interested give us a call at 646-884-0081 or send an email to ppmaat@yahoo.es.
Regards,
Jose and Maria.

WHY HER AND NOT ME? Getting Media Coverage to Support Your Business

When you see someone quoted in the press, on a topic where you are well-versed, do you wonder, "Why Her and Not Me?"

The answer is simple: a Public Relations professional put the name and credentials of that person in front of the reporter. Yesterday -- or last month -- the source was presented to the reporter as someone who could speak authoritatively on a timely issue and would be accessible and available.

When a reporter talks to someone else about your area of expertise, that means you've lost out on valuable air time to promote your products and services.

If being in the media will support your business growth, then consider how you will generate that coverage.

Reporters interview the people they know. They do not call people to whom they have not been introduced.

So, if you have not been introduced, and you get a call from a reporter, it may not be for the best reason.

Make it your business to get in the news -- to support your business.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
