We are two working professionals in our mid 20's looking for a roommate for our 2-flex-3 luxury apartment on Roosevelt Island (one subway stop away from Manhattan). We've both been here for at least one year and now our other roommate is moving out of the large master bedroom (full bath attached). We really love this apartment and would love to stay for another year, so we are looking for one or two people to move into the master bedroom starting on October 1st. We would love to find someone to sign in the lease BY AUGUST 15TH, because we get a better deal if we renew by then.

Let me tell you why we love the apartment so much.

First off, the building has AMAZING amenities.
• Washer and dryer IN UNIT (this is a true luxury for someone living in Manhattan, and it saved us SO MUCH time and money!)
• Luxury door man building only a few years old.
• Modern gym in the building (which we have access to).
• Rooftop deck with a grill & chaise lounges -- we've thrown awesome barbeques here. The roof is REALLY awesome.
• Community party room with pool tables and entertainment center.
• Amazing view from the apartment, overlooking east river, the Queensborough bridge, and Manhattan. You can watch sun rise and sun set from the same apartment!

Our building is also extremely convenient when it comes to public transportation. The F train station is within 2-minute walk from our building and it takes only 8 minutes on the train to get to midtown Manhattan, about 15-20 minutes to downtown Manhattan.
Also, the Roosevelt Island Tram is right next to our building. It will take the Tram about 6 minutes to get from the island to the Upper East Side (2nd and 60th). Very fast and convenient, and also fun. I had never been to Roosevelt Island before I moved here--and I LOVE it. It's so peaceful and pretty and still extremely convenient to the UES/Manhattan.

The available room is a huge master bedroom. It is 15' 6" by 11" 0'. There are two closets, one of which is a large walk-in, in the room. There is also a modern bathroom in the room with two sinks and a marble counter. The bedroom has a beautiful view of the Queensboro bridge and the Queens skyline from the windows. For a couple, the room easily fits two work desks, a Queen sized bed, two dressers, and other furniture without feeling crowded.  We also have a large living room where we hang out a lot, and a modern kitchen.

You will be living with two easygoing, responsible and considerate female working professionals in our mid twenties. We are laid back, friendly and fun-loving, and are looking for someone with similar qualities. We are open to an individual or a couple.

The rent is $2300/month (or $1150 each for a couple), and we split the utilities (electricity, FiOS internet, TV & home phone) each month, which comes to about $40-$50 a month per person.
