SEEKING CATSITTER
If you are a catsitter on Roosevelt Island, please send an email and introduce yourself, tell me about your experience, and let me know what your rates are. I am seeking someone with experience who does this on a regular basis. You must be completely reliable, have references, and be able to time your visits at approximately the same time each day (times are flexible, but must be consistent). You will be required to feed household pets (cats and other), scoop the litter box, provide medications when necessary, pick up mail, and do a little plant watering. You must demonstrate comfort and competence with animals and be communicative via phone, text or email during my trips away. I am seeking someone who can become an ongoing partner during vacations and weekends away, 2-3x a year.

I know there is a cat sitter that works in 455 Main St and has great word of mouth, maybe you could check with that building front desk?

There are several catsitters and a wide range of fees charged. Ellen Levy is at the very top of the range as we priced her once. $40 a day is what off-Island catsitters typically charge because they have to travel here, so we thought $40 was very high for someone right across the street. We've since used a couple of others who charged substantially less and did an excellent job.
I know this thread is old, but does anyone have any good cat sitters they can recommend? Im looking to go away for about a week in July.
