There is a crying need to have an in-person jobs and business networking group for RI residents. Many of us are facing challenges getting jobs, getting paid for freelance work or advisory services. How can we support and facilitate all of these?
It would serve:
- Those looking for work
- Freelancers
- Those who work in advisory services/interim executives/independent consultants
- People who are working, but interested in keeping up their networks
- Possibly independent business professionals

What a great Idea and a great Need- I have been saying this to other Islanders- we need something like this..
I know there are quite a few unemployed people here on the Island.
We need also a support group- so you don't feel so alone in this whole process- especially these days- in this very scary Economic situation we are in.
I am sure there are more than a few people here sitting at home and looking for work and are just mind-boggled at what to do next, further their job searches, network, etc.
There are some doing consulting, some of it for free or just plain scared.
Great idea.
some of us are looking for part time work and it would be a great outlet for all of the folks that live on RI, where could we meet?
We need a Job Fair here maybe at some point, now to find the companies that would come here...maybe have it at the auditorium at Goldwater where we vote?
